The OMB 5KW FM transmitter, EM 5000 HE DIG PLUS, has been created by the OMB center of development for high efficiency transmitters. It consists on the high efficiency 5KW amplifier, FMA 5000 HE, with 72% efficiency and the EM 25 DIG PLUS, a 25W FM transmitter. The high efficiency 5KW amplifier has an approximate consumption of 6600VA at 230Vac, so it pays for itself in a short period of time due to its low consumption. This 5KW FM transmitter is also available in Dual Drive version.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE 5KW FM TRANSMITTER MANUFACTURED BY OMB:
– AC Efficiency: 72% (typical value). RF Efficiency RF: 84% (typical value)
– 6 amplifying modules of 1000W with MOSFET technology
– 3 independent switching power supplies connected in parallel so if there is a failure in any of them the equipment maintains its operation
– TFT screen and touch keyboard for the control and visualization of operational parameters.
– Memory registration of events
– Control of the speed of cooling fans depending on the temperature at the power modules for optimizing power consumption and decreasing acoustic contamination
– Advanced protection against load mismatches without interrupting the transmission and ultra-fast protection in case of excessive reflected power and input power
– Analog telemetry, digital RS232 remote control and telemetry, remote control by opened/closed contacts
– Low pass filter, EMI filters and internal single-phase transient suppressor
– Automatic power reduction at night if the amplifier is combined with the EM 25 DIG PLUS
– Automatic power reduction in case of high temperature, the equipment returns automatically to its rated power value when the temperature reaches back an average value
– Automatic power reduction in case of failure of one of the power supplies and in case of excessive reflected power
– Automatic voltage control for efficiency optimization
– Optionally Telemetry TCP/IP, SNMP, Webserver
